I saw a sign in Montgomery today (in front of the old Circuit City in Eastchase) where JoAnns is coming Winter 2010!!! I've heard of it before and am guessing it's like Hancocks or Hobby Lobby?? Anyone have any knowledge of it? Should I be excited??

Yes, you should be excited. The one in Birmingham just opened next to Toys R Us (across from the Galleria).
You will so love Joanns! They have awesome decorator fabric. I think HL has a better clothing fabric selection though. Their sewing dept is awesome though. Joanns is my fave scrapbook supply place ... I don't know if you scrapbook or not, but its the BEST. (we have Michaels, HL and Joanns where I live and I go to Joanns the most.)
You will love it! One opened here a few months ago - TONS of fabric! MORE than HL - not the designer stuff like Micheal Miller, Amy Butler, etc. but some cute stuff!
You will love JoAnns...probably not as much fabric as Hancock, but more than HL, and very crafty like Michael's. There was a TV show on HGTV many years ago, that most of the crafts they did were from JoAnns and come to think of it...they were like the top sponsor!
I like Hobby Lobby a lot better, but I do get some things there like minky dot and some polka dots, but my favorite hands down is still Hobby Lobby. Wish we had a Hancocks in Nashville!
You will love it!!! They have great coupons as well. I have found that some older stores are not as good but it sould be good because it will be new. We have a new store in Columbus, GA and I am a weekly customer.
